At Birmingham Ch he won the Under Graduate class under breed specialist judge Mrs Ruth Hughes (Riddagshausen Boxers) and at Midland Counties Ch under breed specialist Mrs Pat Heath (Seefeld Boxers) he again won a strong Grad Class and was in the last 4 for the C.C.
The judges critique’s have one thing in common, that is they all mention his construction and movement. Peggy Grayson: "A strong dog with good balance and proportions to head, good eye and expression, very well constructed and muscled body and powered round the ring. Best in Show". Mrs Ruth Hughes: "He excels in strong accurate movement."
At a recent show he was judged by breed specialist Mr T Donovan. Tug won the Open class, a dog by the name of Hocombewood Knock M Dead won the Grad class.
When it came to best of breed the critique will explain.
Grad: 1st Mountains Hocombewood Knock M Dead. Brindle/w dog. Nice muscular dog with good bone, quite a picture in outline, nicely balanced head, dark eye, good width of mouth, nice flat topline, good front and rear angulation with tight feet, good mover with drive.
Open: 1st Kaye’s Dorfhaus Facel Vega red/w dog. Very nice masculine head with good shaped dark eyes, wide mouth, lovely arch of neck into a good straight topline which he held on the move with a high tailset, good forechest, correct angulation of pasterns, good rear angulation and had a positive drive on the move Best of Breed. Had difficulty in deciding between him and the Graduate winner, found out afterwards they are father and son, dad just kept boy in his place.
Although Tug is now 8 years old and soon to be 9 he only has a few grey hairs and continues to win in Veteran Classes. We now have his daughter Becky who is showing signs of being in the same mould as her dad.
Tug has won nearly all the Veteran classes at Open Shows & Championship shows entered. He has won the Veteran Class at South Western Championship show for the last two years running, his father Ch Eight Bells of Seefeld (sadly he in the big fields in the sky) won the same class the year before Tug. We were all looking forwards to seeing farther and son together in the ring but alas it was not to be.
Tug is Can & Am Ch. Dorfhaus Spiker Rupik’s uncle.

When we bred Chance we decided that one dog in the home was enough as we also had bitches. So when they were about 10 weeks old we took the litter down to the home of Mrs Pat Heath of the Seefeld Boxers and Sheila Bowman of the Rupik Boxers to see what they thought of the litter as the father was bred by Sheila. Well when we arrived we were greeted by Pat and Sheila, as we always are when paying them a visit.
They informed us that they had some guests staying from Canada and we were introduced to Lynne Beilhartz who was over in the UK to buy some pups that Pat & Sheila had bred. Well as the afternoon progressed Sheila approached us and asked us if we would mind if the Brindle puppy dog went to Canada as Lynne had taken a liking to him and was prepared to take him back to Canada and show him. Well after a short think and ponder we decided that she could take him with her and so when we left to return home we were minus 1 pup.
Well he has proved to be a good winner and sire of a few champions. We went
over to Canada a couple of years ago and saw him. We were pleased to see
how he had developed and we are also pleased that he is proving to be a good
sire.
